Complete reference for the hessian command-line interface
Complete documentation for all hessian CLI commands. Pages under this
section are auto-generated from the cobra command tree by make gen-cli-docs.
For a conceptual overview of contexts, profiles, and the credentials file, see the CLI guide.
All commands support these global flags:
| Flag | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
--config | Config file path | ~/.hessian/config.yaml |
--api_url | API URL (overrides the active context) | http://localhost:8000 |
--profile | Context profile to use (overrides current_context and HESSIAN_PROFILE) | (active context) |
-H, --header | Add custom header(s) to requests (Key: Value). Can be repeated. | (none) |
--json | Output in JSON format | false |
--debug | Enable debug logging | false |
The CLI reads configuration from two files in ~/.hessian/:
config.yaml — global CLI prefs (currently just current_context)credentials — INI file holding every named profile (mode 0600)Environment variables prefixed HESSIAN_ override profile values:
export HESSIAN_API_URL=https://api.hessian.sh # or HESSIAN_API_HOST
export HESSIAN_API_KEY=wtp_...
export HESSIAN_TOKEN=eyJ...
export HESSIAN_PROFILE=nonprod # selects the active profileFor the full resolution order and worked examples, see the CLI guide.
